Academic Advising

Academic Advisors and Adult Learner Services staff can...

  • provide information about programs, courses, and university requirements in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Business & Economics, Kinesiology
  • provide feedback on your course selection and assist with the registration process
  • help you with the appeal process  

Academic & Career Services is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are located at 489 Portage Ave, in Rice Centre.

 

Appointments

Advisors are available for 30-minute appointments, either through Zoom or in-person. To set up a meeting, please visit Appointment Booking.

Drop-ins

If you have a quick question, you are also welcome to come for a drop-in session. Academic Advisors will be conducting 10-minute drop-ins via Zoom and in-person, Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. daily.

NOTE:  

  • Drop-ins will be closed during the morning (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon) on the last Wednesday of most months

In Person Drop-ins

  • Visit us at 489 Portage Ave (Rice Centre).
  • Check in at the kiosk as soon as you’ve arrived to be added to our drop-ins queue.

Zoom Drop-ins

  • Download the myVisit app, available for Apple and Android phone.
  • Turn off the location permission in the app. 
  • Select “Academic and Career Services – Zoom Drop Ins” from the Services menu. You will be added to the drop-ins queue.
  • You will receive an SMS notification with the Zoom link when you are next in line to meet with an Advisor. 
  • Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
