A number of members working with the Cultural Studies Research Group, including Matt Flisfeder, Adina Balint, and Jason Hannan are presenting work at the UWinnipeg McLuhan Symposium: WEST AWAKE. The event, held at the University of Winnipeg (L104 [Lockhart Hall, Room 104] from 9:00 - 4:30 pm), will feature:
Presenters: Matthew Flisfeder, Jason Hannan, Kathy Buddle-Crowe, Laurence Broadhurst, among others; film work by Jarrett Cole and Gordon Pepper.
Book Launch: MCLUHAN AND THE ARTS: Imaginations (UW Faculty of Education Publishing)
Film Screening: Richard Altman's new film about McLuhan's local inspirations (at the Asper Theatre 1T15)
All are welcome/FREE admission
