UWinnipeg "Beauties" Look Good in 2017 Kin Games

WHAT ARE THE KINESIOLOGY GAMES?Every year in March, 800+ Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Science (or equivalent) students from postsecondary institutions across Canada gather to network, compete, and share the love of their field.

The University of Winnipeg Kin Games team (calling themselves the UWinnipeg 'Beauties') looked quite good in the 2017 Kin Games held March 17-19th at the University of Manitoba.  Kin student Emily Lambert gave us this report:

"Our team ttied for 28th overall out of 30 universities. We finished 10th overall in Academics which is a huge accomplishment (won every one of our competitions). We performed a team dance, participated in team sports (goalball, bubble soccer, floor hockey, and lacrosse), and had three academic challenges that we were just short of making top 8 and moving on (X’s and O’s, Matching, and the Amazing Race). We had the pleasure of listening to 3 academic speakers, one of which was Sheldon Kennedy and attended a career fair. Throughout the year, we participated in many spirit challenges, one of those was to raise money for Jump Start-collectively Kin Games raised over $8000 for the children’s charity. Most importantly we all made 800 new best friends from coast to coast."
