Women’s 40 and Over League

University of Winnipeg Women’s Soccer team presents the 40 and Over Women’s Soccer drop-in league. This league is intended for women who want to meet new people, stay in shape, and have fun, without the pressure of committing to a full-time team.

How does it work?

Sign up, show up, have fun! Interested individuals can pay and sign-up online and are welcome to attend as many games that their schedule allows. Student-athletes will be onsite to organize teams, facilitate games, and act as referees.  

What should I bring?

Please bring athletic clothes, and clean indoor athletic shoes. All games will be played on the turf fields, so cleats are recommended. Pennies will be provided by the Wesmen Soccer team, so no need to worry about jerseys.

I’m new to soccer…    I used to play, but it’s been awhile…   Is there a place for me?

Absolutely! The goal of these games is for everyone to have fun and stay active, so participants of skill levels are welcome. 

Where do we play?

All games will be held in the Axworthy Health & Recplex at 350 Spence Street.  Play on turf fields in this state-of-the-art facility, where it’s always warm and never rains! Parking is available underground on Sundays for a maximum of $4.00, or park on Young St. for free (street parking is limited).

Date & Times: Sundays, 12:00-1:00pm, May 1st-June 26th
Cost: $90.00/9 Weeks (plus gst)
Drop in: $10.00 per session. Cash can be paid on the day of to the student athlete facilitating.

I’m in! Where do I sign up?

Payments can be made online, or in person at the University of Winnipeg Duckworth Centre.
Make sure to print off the waiver and present it to the student-athlete at your first game.
