Certificate Graduation Ceremony
Every year we host a graduation ceremony to honour the students who have completed the requirements for a Certificate in Urban and Inner City Studies or have completed the BUS (Beginning University Successfully) Program. This year's celebration was very special as Olivia Milardovic, UIC Certificiate grad, and Laurel Cassels, BUS grad, UIC Certificate grad and coordinator of this year's BUS program, both shared heart-felt speeches about the transformative power of education! We are thankful that UIC student Lisa Strong honoured the grads with traditional singing and drumming and that so many family, friends and funders were able to come out and support us. Thank-you.
