Join us for the first-ever University of Winnipeg Indigenous Makers Market!

Twenty talented Indigenous makers will be on campus to sell their creations. From beaded jewellry to quillwork and embroidery, regalia like ribbon skirts and shirts, paintings, drawings, prints and cards, stickers and magnets, blankets and wallhangings, knitting and crochet, home decor and candles, there's something for everyone's tastes and budget at the Market!

Featured Makers include KC Adams, Sarah DeLaronde Atkinson, Bird House Creations, Ruby Bruce, Indigify, Creations by Elise, Dawn Chartrand, Nimis Design, Lucas Corbin Cole, Lii Roozyii, Anishinaabe Girl Designs, From Turtle Island, Deadly Creeations, Dotter of the Earth, Auntie Dee’s Designs, Soft Heart Designs, Alice + Sage, O’Meara Roots, Art by Justine Proulx, Littlest Kookum Beading.

The Indigenous Makers Market is presented in conjunction with KC Adams' exhibition Seven Generations which will be on view in Gallery 1C03 from November 21, 2024 until February 14, 2025.

GETTING HERE AND ACCESSIBILITY
Maps of The University of Winnipeg campus, including accessibility and parking maps, can be found at https://www.uwinnipeg.ca/maps/. The Market will take place in front of Gallery 1C03 and around the corner from the gallery in Riddell Atrium. The Gallery is located on the main floor of Centennial Hall at 515 Portage Avenue. Accessible, street level visitor entrances with auto door openers and ramps are via Portage Avenue, Ellice Avenue and Spence Street. There is a gender-neutral, accessible washroom less than 100 feet from the Gallery entrance. If you arrive after 6:00 pm campus entrance doors are locked but there is an intercom button next to each entrance. Press the button and let Security Services know that you are here for the Market and they will let you in. Our exhibitions and affiliated events are free to everyone.
