Join Jennifer Still, the 10th Carol Shields Writer-in-Residence, for her O Pen writing wordshops.

All writers and those with an interest in creative writing are invited
to attend these four generative writing wordshops.

Each session will offer discussion, writing exercises, and
compositional techniques to encourage a writing practice of serious
play. These sessions can apply to existing projects or serve as a
launching point for new work. You may attend all sessions, or just
one. It is a truly open invitation. Let’s tinker with words to see
what we can find!

Final session, Wednesday, March 4: Endings & Editings

How to know when a work is done and when to push it further? Moving a
work through to its end often involves an outside reader. We will look
at self-editing techniques and ways to further our writing through
publishing, writing programs, readings, etc. Bring: a selection of
writing that is trying to end!
