An op-ed piece by Dr. Angela Armstrong, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Women's and Gender Studies and the Chancellor's Research Chair, and Dr. Craig Willis, Associate Professor of Biology and a former Chancellor's Research Chair, recently appeared in the Winnipeg Free Press in support of the Indigenous course requirement that was recently approved in priniciple by Senate. Their piece, Mandatory courses add value, questions the opposition to the proposal and presents arguments in support of the requirement.
