Winnipeg's award-winning playwright, Rick Chafe, is the University of Winnipeg's 2016 Carol Shields Writer-in-Residence. This month, Chafe's most recent work, Marriage: A Demolition in Two Acts, premieres at the Prairie Theatre Exchange (PTE). The play deals with a major kitchen renovation and its characters are the married home owners and the young couple hired to do the reno. Marriage is described as "A hilarious new play that looks at renovation addiction, the friction between baby-boomers and millenials, and the nature of lifelong commitment in marriage....and kitchen cabinet choices" (Prairie Theatre Exchange). The play runs from March 17 - April 3, 2016.
