Dr. Roger Kingsley
Roger Kingsley has always been an active community member, devoting much of his volunteer time and service to a variety of organizations. His primary work has been with Scouts Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada on the local, provincial and national levels over the past 30 years.Kingsley has served Scouts Canada on many levels and over several years. In 2002, he was elected to the Scouts Canada Board of Governors and served for three years. Kingsley also served as Chair of the Audit Committee during a time of financial difficulty and contributed to the fiscal health and sustainability of the organization.
As a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, Kingsley served on parish councils as well as various province-wide committees contributing to all levels related to running a parish. During this time he also served as a member of a blue-ribbon panel at the national level to provide recommendations on how to deal with conflict within a congregation. Kingsley also volunteered as a soccer coach and served as a board member of Interfaith Marriage and Family Institute (now Aurora) giving of his skills and commitment to the governance of the Institute.Roger Kingsley, an Assistant Professor in Mathematics & Statistics at The University of Winnipeg. Kingsley joined The University of Winnipeg in October 1974 as Assistant Director (Academic) of the Computer Services Department. He became Associate Director of Computer Services in 1982, and became the University Secretary in 1988. He joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in January 2005.
