"Now, as I am preparing to graduate with my undergraduate degree, I find myself at another exhilarating and daunting turning point, but this time is different, because I’m stepping into the future with the support of a community behind me. Not only has my time at the University taught me the anatomy, physiology, psychology, and other knowledge that I need for a kinesiology degree, but this liberal arts institution has taught me critical and abstract thinking, adaptability, morality, and collaboration."
Message from the Dean
Dr. Doug Goltz
Acting Dean, Gupta Faculty of Kinesiology and Applied Health, The University of Winnipeg
"I appreciate having the opportunity to participate in this year’s awards event and I extend my sincere congratulations to all of our award-winning students. As the Acting Dean of this faculty, I am very pleased to be part of a group of instructors and professors who are passionate about their work at the University. Our faculty also includes some pretty amazing undergraduate students who major in exciting programs, both of which are accredited.
"This includes Kinesiology, as well as the Athletic Therapy program. This year everyone had to adapt to their remote classroom and our resilient students and faculty were no exception. Although the remote classroom has made it more challenging for everyone, seeing our students grow as individuals and scholars is still one of the best things we get to do in the University."
