Biography:
Rosalie E. Harms, CPA, CMA, MBA
Rosalie has been a full-time faculty member since 2011 but began her career in academia as a sessional instructor at the university in 2004 and became chair in 2016. Her teaching areas include accounting, entrepreneurship, and general business. She has contributed to numerous textbooks as a subject matter expert within these disciplines. Rosalie began her career in private industry and has nearly 20 years of professional experience in financial management, business advising and consulting, economic development, and workshop development and facilitation for both the private and not for profit sectors in multiple industries. Rosalie engages in applied research by combining her commercial and business lending background with her accounting experience to assist businesses in developing realistic strategic plans and financial projections for both new ventures and expansionary projects. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (legacy CMA) (CPA, CMA) and also holds an undergraduate degree in Administrative Studies and Economics from the University of Winnipeg in addition to an MBA from the I.H. Asper School of Management at the University of Manitoba.
