About UW Classics Degrees
At UWinnipeg, we offer 3-Year and 4-Year majors, Honours Majors, and minors in Classical Civilization or Classical Languages (Latin and Ancient Greek). Classics can be teamed with other programs – from Arts, Science, Kinesiology, Education, and Business and Economics – to create a double major in the fields of your choice. We also participate in the Interdepartmental Minor in Comparative Literature (see the program webpage or download the 2024-25 program poster [PDF] for more information).
If you are interested in pursuing a degree in Classics, we encourage you to consult with a member of the Department to help plan a program that fits your individual needs. Students wishing to pursue Classics at the graduate level are strongly advised to pursue a BA Honours in Classics, and to take as many courses in the ancient languages as possible.
