About:
Dr. Andriy Zayarnyuk received his PhD in History from the University of Alberta prior to becoming an Associate Professor in the University of Winnipeg's History Department. His research focuses on the social and cultural history of Eastern Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Zayarnyuk published a monograph titled Framing the Ukrainian Peasantry in Habsburg Galicia, 1846-1914 and co-edited the collection Letters from Heaven: Popular Religion in Russia and Ukraine. His work has also appeared in multiple academic publications including Social History, the Canadian Slavonic Papers, and the Journal of Ukrainian Studies, among others.
