About:
Freshwater fishes are among the most at risk taxa. Our lab uses an array of techniques to solve real world conservation issues and to understand how fish interact with their environment. Often our studies are conducted in both the field and laboratory settings and focus on both behavioural and physiological responses.
Dr. Hasler completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Queen's University and his Ph.D. at Carleton University. He then worked in industry and eventually a post-doc at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Caleb has been a professor at the University of Winnipeg since July 2017. He teaches Freshwater Ecology, Ichthyology, and Comparative Animal Physiology.
