About:
Farra is a certified middle and high school teacher who has worked as an elementary and high school language arts teacher in Ontario and England before becoming a professor for the University of Winnipeg’s teacher education program. The educator applies critical, decolonizing, collaborative inquiry and autonomy-facilitating approaches to teaching language arts and other educational courses including education theory, curriculum, policy and technology in education. Farra is committed to doing research that advances the teaching and learning of literacy and teacher professionalism in ways that support decolonization, community organization, peace and economic well-being.
