Global College

The Global College fosters global citizenship and engagement in human rights, Indigenous languages, development practice, and peace and conflict studies.  In addition to our academic programming, students in the Global College are encouraged to discover their role within the local and global community through conferences, lectures, and local and international human rights internships. Our graduates typically obtain work in various humanitarian fields. They pursue careers in law, social advocacy, human rights agencies, government agencies, refugee organizations, and non-profit organizations.  These are the undergraduate programs available through the Global College:

Are you interested in obtaining an education organized around questions of social justice, global citizenship and human rights? Consider our major in Human Rights – the only one of its kind in Western Canada. Through this multidisciplinary program, you will have an opportunity to explore issues of human rights in a context defined by globalization.

Indigenous Languages

Indigenous languages are the foundation of Indigenous knowledge and communities. The Indigenous Languages Thematic Major provides students with an interdisciplinary education in Indigenous languages that focuses on revitalization, planning, and communication.
