Maureen K. Lux teaches Canadian and Indigenous history at Brock University. Her book, Medicine That Walks: Medicine, Disease and Canadian Plains Native People, 1880-1940 (University of Toronto Press 2001) won the Canadian Historical Association
Clio Prize as well as the Royal Society of Canada’s Hannah Medal for the History of Medicine. Her research examines the health effects of colonialism on Indigenous people on the prairies.
