Biography:
Charity Martin graduated with a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from the University of Winnipeg. Charity is a band member of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. Charity also has a strong connection to Cree ancestry through her mother, who is from York Factory First Nation. Charity has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba. Charity's experience has been working within the Child Welfare system, assuming diverse roles ranging from direct service with families to policy work. Over the past fifteen years, Charity has dedicated herself to Indigenous child welfare.
