Biography:

Dr. Maryam Memar Zadeh is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the Department of Business and Administration within the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Winnipeg. Dr. Memar Zadeh earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University. She holds an M.Sc. in Production Engineering and an M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, both from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Memar Zadeh has a diverse research interest in the area of risk management, spanning from the healthcare context to the operations-marketing interface of service risk management. Her research started with a large-scale qualitative study in managing the risk of operations employees’ failures, which she later expanded into two streams of research: Operational Integrity in Human-Centered Service Systems (HCSSs) and High-Reliability Leadership.
