Katherine Rempel

Katherine Rempel is a Metis women and single parent to an energetic 6-year-old daughter.  Katherine currently works for the University of Winnipeg as a research assistant in the field of food security, she is the treasurer and secretary for her Metis Local and Chairs a parent-child coalition board.  Katherine is an active community member that spends her free time volunteering at a host of different organizations.  After completing this program Katherine hopes to continue her research on weaving Indigenous knowledge into sustainable development solutions and wants to one day be a professor in the field of Indigenous studies.
