Sita Vidda

Sita Vidda My passion for helping people in need has greatly influenced my career path. As a Ghanaian, I have personally experienced the challenges faced by rural communities in Ghana, such as poverty, inadequate healthcare, and educational disparities. These experiences have ignited a strong desire within me to make a difference.

I hold a BA in Integrated Community Development from the University for Development Studies and an MSc in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. My qualifications have equipped me with a deep understanding of community dynamics, health promotion, and sustainable practices.

In my work as a community research coordinator and educator in rural communities, I have collaborated with NGOs and field projects to create and implement educational awareness programs on human rights, health, and environmental sustainability. These programs have provided a safe space for students and caregivers to share personal stories, which has informed the development of targeted interventions and initiatives. The approach ensures a more inclusive, empathetic, and supportive environment for vulnerable groups, particularly children and individuals living with marginalized diseases such as lymphatic filariasis.

I am excited about enrolling in the MDP program, as I believe it will further equip me with the skills and renewed perspective needed to build upon my work in Ghana and extend my efforts globally.
