Alejandro Dominguez Suberbie
Alejandro Dominguez Suberbie, was born and raised in Mexico City and graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana with a bachelors degree in Industrial Affairs.
Alejandro’s interest in Sustainable Development began when he worked in social service with a Human Development organization. After gaining experience that mainly focused on the private sector, he shifted to environmental development and began working with an NGO. During this time he learned how important NGO’s fill important gaps between the private and public sector. Finally, Alejandro worked at the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL) for the Mexican Government.-- responsible for social programs in the country. This job allowed him to notice major areas for development opportunities in rural and urban Mexican communities.
Alejandro believes his MDP at the University of Winnipeg will provide him with the tools, skills and knowledge to impact his environment in a positive way.
Alejandro recognizes that the present generations have a responsibility to leave a better world that can provide long-term well being for society while also providing a better life for future generations that is inclusive of the Indigenous Peoples’ perspective around the world.
