Alison Everitt

My name is Alison Everitt and I was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from the University of Winnipeg and Menno Simons College in 2012 with a double major in International Development Studies and Political Science.

I’m very excited to be a part of the Masters of Development Practice program at the University of Winnipeg. My undergraduate degree in the IDS program has taught me the importance of shaping development to the benefit and sustainability of future generations. The MDPs focus on Indigenous development is what has really interested me in the program. I have a great interest in learning more about Indigenous knowledges and cultures, both within Canada and on an international scale, and I believe this Master’s program will help me do so. I am very thankful to be a part of the MDP program and to have the opportunity to learn from the knowledge and wisdom of those in this program.
