Blue Quills First Nations College, a former Residential School, located in St. Paul, Alberta, hosted two students: Margaret Lewis-John and Lisa Dixon. Deeply rooted in Blue Quills Education Philosophy is ceremony, the students participated in ceremony and cultural activities during their field placement, particularly during Blue Quills Cultural Camp during the last week in May. Blue Quills features several unique programs including, a Cree Language program. Blue Quills is a booming Indigenous Institution with a number of partnerships and collaboration with community, industry, and government. Students had the opportunity to be involved in a number of diverse projects and programs, including research, evaluation and grant-writing. They also worked in Saddle Lake Cree Nation in the economic development office on an artisan cooperative.
