International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD)

During her field placement, Badriyya Yusuf  worked on a project on gender assessment within the host organization - International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). She conducted a participatory survey and interviews with IIISD employees, wrote a report and contributed to an online training manual on gender analysis for employees. It provided her with the ability to identify and understand the challenges of gender mainstreaming both in internal organizational practices as well as in development projects.
