Douglas Baba’s field placement was with the Northern Sustainable Prosperity Initiative (NSPI). The practicum was research- focused on the supply chain between Manitoba and Nunavut communities, specifically those in the Kivalliq region. Douglas participated in a climate vulnerability risk assessment of the land and coastal transportation infrastructure networks that support the supply chain between Manitoba and Nunavut to assist in adaptive transportation infrastructure planning in the Hudson Bay Inland Sea region and across Canada.
