Te Tumu (School of Māori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies)
Anna Huard was hosted by Te Tumu (School of Māori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies) at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. She was involved in two main projects. First, an international exchange program called the Matariki Indigenous Peoples Programme hosted by the University of Otago. Second, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Ōtepoti (the k-6 immersion school) where Anna was able to observe and learn about language revitalization from the teachers of the Māori language immersion school. She also attended a kapa haka group weekly in hopes of learning some hakas.
