Canadian Museum for Human Rights/ UWinnipeg
The University of Winnipeg and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) in Winnipeg collaborated to offer a new Human and Indigenous Rights Executive Leadership in Residence Program (ELP) designed primarily for senior managers and executives in both governments and corporations across Canada and globally.
Erika Vas's placement was with this project. She responsible for working with the ELP team to plan and coordinate the first pilot delivery of this program. She ultimately co-created the program content, schedule, speaker line-up, and special events. Her role was pivotal in the creation of the pre-departure package, speech writing, advertisement creation, and media releases. She supported Support the CMHR and the planning team on making all of the program bookings (spaces, speakers, etc.) and logistics (transportation, food and beverage, design of advertising materials, recruiting participants, meeting with presenters, etc). Upon completion of the program, Erika was responsible for the assessment and reporting, including the creation of a final report that would be presented to UW and CMHR management, stakeholders, etc.
