First Nations Health and Social Secretariat of Manitoba (FNHSSM)
Ali Nychuk worked with the First Nations Health and Social Secretariat of Manitoba on their 8 Week Indigenous-Specific Anti-Racism Training. it is a Canadian Institute of Health Research funding project in collaboration with the University of Manitoba and University of Toronto. The purpose of this inquiry is to provide Indigenous-specific Anti-Racism training to healthcare workers through the explanation of racism's historical and colonial origins. These ideologies still have substantial impacts on the current society; this includes hierarchical power structures and sexism, which are used as the theoretical foundation to reinforce colonial ideologies.
