Tataskweyak Cree Nation

Babatunde Alabi was hosted for his placement by the community planning team of Tataskweyak Cree Nation (TCN). Tataskweyak Cree Nation is a northern First Nations community in Manitoba that aims to enhance the well-being of its people and provide opportunities to create a self-reliant, self-sufficient community. In order to achieve this aim, the community initiated a Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) process to enable it to establish a vision for its future, and implement projects to achieve its goal. During this placement, Babatunde reviewed documents, collected information on key planning areas, gathered and analyzed data, created summaries of key findings, and developed presentations. All of these culminated in the development of a draft Tataskweyak Comprehensive Community Plan.
