National Collaborating Center for Infectious Diseases
Tara Myran had the opportunity to work with the National Collaborating Center for Infectious Diseases (NCCID) located at University of Manitoba’s Bannatyne Campus located on Treaty One Territory. She worked on two projects Joint Action for Equity – Stories of primary care and public health partnership and the Tuberculosis Patient Journey for Northern First Nations Communities.
These two projects were innovative in terms of highlighting successful partnerships and knowledge translation. Tara learned many useful skills and she looks forward to utilizing these research tools in her future employment and is thankful that NCCID provided her an opportunity of carrying on her employment once her field placement was completed. She looks forward to keeping these networks for future educational endeavours of a PhD in Community Health Sciences.
