The Winnipeg Boldness Project
Katherine Rempel worked with Diane Roussin, program director at the Winnipeg Boldness Project, on an Accountability Framework Report. The Winnipeg Boldness Project is an Indigenous led, community based, social innovation initiative working towards improved the lives of children and families in Point Douglas area.
The purpose of the project is to show how the Winnipeg Boldness project’s Theory of Change and the Child Centered Model is supported through a Polycentric Governance Model, making the organization fully accountable to community. As part of her work Katherine was required to document the deep community wisdom, build relationships, and be guided in her work by community.
“In a society where systems and frameworks are generally designed with a top-down approach, where officials and delegates commonly have the final say in policy and decision-making, it is inspirational to work with an organization where the community’s voice and ideas remain the most important factors in creating change with the community.”
