Indigenous Chamber of Commerce
Daniel Nychuk had the opportunity to work for the Indigenous Chamber of Commerce. The Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is an organization that advocates for economic development and reconciliation in Manitoba. As a chamber the ICC brings together Manitoba businesses that recognize the value of working as a collective on key issues concerning Indigenous business initiatives. The ICC's vision is to promote Indigenous businesses in Manitoba with a mission to grow the Indigenous economy by strengthening member success through networking, education, leadership, and advocacy.
The ICC has an objective to become procurement experts to better serve the needs of their members and Indigenous Businesses across Manitoba. they want to become the primary resource for procurement needs for Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses in Manitoba to allow them to work in collaboration and help achieve the end goal of economic reconciliation. Daniel’s role as the Procurement and research intern was to help co-develop and begin implementing a strategy for the ICC to become a procurement Centre for excellence for their members and all Indigenous Businesses.
