Mennonite Studies
This program gives you an opportunity to study the rich heritage of the Mennonites and their contribution to society. Mennonite Studies is an interdisciplinary program that combines studies in history, religion, culture, and literature as they relate to Mennonites.
A major in Mennonite Studies focuses on the Mennonites' culture of nonviolence, history of migration, and struggle to define themselves as an ethno-religious group.
In partnership with the Plett Foundation, Mennonite Studies hosts annual major conferences as well as webinars and special events through our Centre for Transnational Mennonite Studies. We also publish the Journal of Mennonite Studies, a peer reviewed academic journal, annually.
