You are invited to attend The University of Winnipeg's Future Student Night 2025. Join us on campus for an evening of interactive displays, campus tours, and an opportunity to meet our outstanding faculty, staff, and current students. 

We welcome all future students, as well as parents, guardians, family, and friends

Program

Our program begins in the Dr. David F. Anderson Gymnasium with a welcome from Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Dr. Radia, then some essential information for parents and guardians, and finally a UWinnipeg student’s personal perspective about choosing a post-secondary path.

Information Fair

Visit the booths in the gym to learn more about departments and programs. Professors, students, and staff will be on hand to talk about the degrees offered, careers and outcomes, and course selection.

Visit the Student Services booths to learn more about scholarships, financial aid, accessibility services, student housing, and more.

Stop by the refreshments table to enjoy a complimentary cookie, coffee or soda.

Application Centre

Apply for admission with the help of our Admissions team, who can guide you through our online application. The Application Centre is located at booth #1, next to the stage. 

Already applied and wondering what happens next? Stop by the Admissions booth (#47) to talk to a member of the team

Prizes

$5,000 tuition credit is available to be won! Simply fill out one of our contact cards for your chance to win. Door prizes and cool giveaways from our sponsors will be available throughout the night for both students and parents. Just drop the ballot into one of the boxes on site or talk to a Recruitment Officer for more details.


Campus Tours

Take a tour of the UWinnipeg campus! Main Campus tours will visit the open rooms in Centennial Hall and its connected buildings, as well as the Physics labs. Science Tours will visit the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex.

Choose from:

  • Main Campus (Arts, Education, Kinesiology, Business, Physics)
  • Science (Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex)

Meet at the stage area to join in the tour of your choice.

Tours depart from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Anthropology

See the teaching collections, with bones and artifacts galore. Included as a stop on any Main Campus tour departing between 7-8PM.

Asper Centre for Theatre and Film Tours

Leave from the Theatre and Film booth (#2)

  • Theatre Tour departs at 6:45 p.m.

Bill Wedlake Fitness Center 

The Bill Wedlake Fitness Centre at the University of Winnipeg covers nearly 6,000 square feet and features state of the art cardio equipment, weight machines and free weights.

Tours depart from the service desk in the Duckworth Centre upon request.

Visit the Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex to get familiar with first-year biology labs.

See exciting physics experiments and demonstrations. Faculty and Physics students will be available to speak with visitors.

2L15 - Play with static electricity and see how fast you can spin yourself using angular momentum. While you’re here, learn how a UWinnipeg physics degree can future proof your career. 

4C36 (Terrabyte Lab) - See our digital agriculture research lab featuring machine learning and embedded systems.

 

The Writing Centre

The Writing Centre is open for in-person and online tutoring throughout the year. UWinnipeg students are welcome to make an apointment at any stage of the writing process. Start a conversation with peer tutors, participate in a trivia activity, and see a demo of the Scholar School Schemes online educational game.
