CRiCS and Building Trans Solidarities
Academics, educators, students, and artists have come together at UWinnipeg to unpack contemporary issues facing transgender, Two-Spirit, and gender non-conforming communities, and to celebrate their resiliency and work towards an inclusive, discrimination-free future.
Many CRiCS members have been involved from the conception of the series, to organizing panels and events. Together with other UWinnipeg Faculty and one student representative, they formed the 2SLGBTQ+ Solidarity Collective.
CRiCS has been a proud sponsor for the Building Trans Solidarity events since the conception of the event series.
Some essays and transcriptions from these events will be published through the CRiCS website and in the forthcoming issue of At the Forks.
Check out CRiCS director, Dr. Angela Failler, speaking to the development of these events here.
