Theatre

Capacity: 120-200 in variable configurations.

This fully equipped black box theatre functions as performance space for UWinnipeg’s Theatre & Film department and local community and professional productions. Seating is flexible, and the space can function in alley, proscenium thrust or in-the-round configurations.

Standard configuration includes stock lighting, sound, drapery and seating for 155 with balcony.  Basic theatre rental includes the main performance space, two dressing rooms, green room, 750 sq ft storage/warmup studio, and shared lobby.  The shared loading dock is at truck height and provides direct access to the theatre. High quality projection for lecture and presentation is available with stage-level connections for notebook computers.

A supervising technician is included in the basic rental for up to 8 hours per day.  Additional technical and house management personnel are available at additional cost.

Complete lighting system, specialty theatrical draperies and multi-channel digital show-controlled audio is available and may be fully reconfigured by special arrangement.  Auxiliary three-phase electrical connections for touring lighting and sound systems are available.  Users are responsible for costs of re-configuration and restoration.

Basic daily rates are subject to change and non-profit, daily and weekly rates are available.

Studios

5 studios ranging from approximately 1200-1600 sq ft each are available for rehearsals, dance, mime or other activities.  Each space is equipped with sound, computer and video playback.  These are not lecture spaces but can be equipped with chairs and tables for lectures or rehearsals.

Most large studios have sprung floors, and a few come equipped with lighting. 3 additional smaller rehearsal rooms without sprung floors are also available and range from approximately 450 to 750 sq ft.

Base daily rental rates are subject to change and vary from $110-135 depending on size, facility and setup required.  Non-profit, half day and weekly rates are available.
