The University of Winnipeg’s Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) held its second annual alumni reception at the Thompson Dorfman Sweatman Lounge on the 17th floor in the new True North Square building. The well-attended reception was graciously hosted by Albina Moran, Partner at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP, Director and Past Chair of the UWinnipeg Board of Regents, and member of the UWinnipeg Foundation Board of Directors.
FBE hosts this annual alumni networking event to encourage its graduates to re-connect with professors and to meet their fellow alumni. Attendees enjoyed good food, great conversation, and were treated to the opportunity to go on short tours of True North Square given by Gavin Johnstone, Senior Director of Finance for True North Real Estate Development Ltd.
Staying connected is a great opportunity to remain in touch with your classmates, connect with other alumni and the new graduates, as well as talk to current students about business competitions and provide valuable mentorship.
