The Business of Sport Conference is a must-attend event for students, aspiring sports professionals, and business leaders passionate about the world of sports! On February 7th, 2025, join us at the University of Winnipeg’s EG Hall for an exciting and interactive afternoon exploring two dynamic topics that sit at the crossroads of sport and business. Whether you're a student looking to break into the world of sports and business, or a sports community individual aspiring to learn more about the industry, you're going to want to get a front row seat. 

Event Schedule: Conference Q and A style Panels 

Opening Remarks | 1:30pm 

Panel 1: Professional Sport in Winnipeg | 1:45pm
Hear from representatives of True North Sports, the Winnipeg Sea Bears, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, as they discuss the current and future landscape of professional sports in Winnipeg. Gain insider insights into the challenges and rewards of running a professional sports franchise in the city and the career opportunities available in the pro sports world.

Break: 3:00pm 

Panel 2: Amateur Sport + the Professional World: Careers in Sport | 3:30pm
This session will explore the connection between amateur sports and the professional sports industry. Industry experts will share valuable advice on how to bridge the gap between passion for sport and a successful career in the sports business sector.

After the conference: 

Networking + Reception (Food and Drinks Included) | 5:00pm
