- Thu. Feb. 27 02:00 PM
Offered by Canadian Association for Graduate Studies, Anti-Racism Response Training (ART) is a 3-hour workshop designed to build awareness around issues of race and racism in Canadian higher education. The workshop is premised on the active-witnessing model, in which participants will learn enhanced techniques for intervening and disrupting racism in their institutions and in their daily lives. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice a wide range of anti-racism responses, and to share their own experiences.
The University of Winnipeg Faculty of Graduate Studies will pay the workshop registration fees for 10 UWinnipeg current graduate students. If you are interested in participating, please complete this sign-up form before January 10, 2025. We will share a complementary registration link with the first 10 students to complete this form. If you have any questions, please contact Mekala at mek.wickramasinghe@uwinnipeg.ca.
