International, Immigrant and Refugee Student Services (IIRSS) Events
The IIRSS hosts a number of fun events and informational workshops throughout the year.
Below are several examples:
Cookies, Coffee, and Conversation (CCC) is a bi-monthly fun, interactive session open to all international undergraduate or graduate students who would like to practice conversational English in a friendly environment with other students. For a list of upcoming sessions, please view the CCC poster.
The International Student Lounge: Located at 475 Portage Avenue, The International Student Centre is a space for international students to hang out, study, have fun and meet other students. It is equipped with couches, computers, a television with cable t.v., a DVD player, a fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a kettle. This space is available during business hours to students.
- Students can use the computers for assignments, completing IRCC applications, checking mail, or accessing social networking sites. Students using the computers must adhere to The University of Winnipeg Acceptable Computing Use policy and other related policies apply to the use of these computers.

The Spence Neighbourhood Association works with the people of Spence to revitalize and renew their community in the areas of Holistic Housing, Community Connecting, Community Economic Development, Environment and Open Spaces, and Youth & Families.
Live & Learn
Live & Learn is an online community for new Manitobans. They offer virtual coffee chats, drop in workshops and multi-week workshops. In addition, the service has an upcoming events calendar.
