Tri-Council Doctoral Awards
The Tri-Agency doctoral awards provide financial support to scholars engaged in research in doctoral programs in and outside of Canada. NSERC and SSHRC each have their own application processes.

How to Apply
Applicants who have been registered at a post-secondary institution within the calendar year are required to submit their applications through the University at which they were registered.
Applicants who were not registered at a post-secondary institution in the calendar year are required to make a direct application to the agency via the On-line System. The deadline for direct applications is set by the funding agency and their website should be consulted.
For initial review purposes The University of Winnipeg will accept unofficial transcripts as part of the application.
