Emily Rempel
After graduating from the Human Rights Program, and before starting law school, Emily spent a year working as an Investigator for the Manitoba Human Rights (HR) Commission, investigating complaints of discrimination under the Manitoba Human Rights Code.
During her time at law school, she volunteered with Welcome Place, supporting refugee claimants to complete their Basis of Claim forms (part of their applications for refugee status).
In her current role, she enjoys supporting both employers and employees as they navigate their respective rights and obligations under Manitoba's Human Rights Code and other rights-giving legislation, and she strives to provide her services in an accessible and barrier-free manner to all of my clients. She is proud to have assisted employers with drafting critical policies on accessibility, anti-harassment, and respectful workplaces.
