Jacee Forsythe
Through her experiences at Global College, Jacee was inspired to start a small organization called Low-Waste Winnipeg, through which she facilitated knowledge-sharing about reducing individual consumption, understanding local waste management practices, and the social and ecological impacts of capitalism.
While taking the course HR-2540 Human Rights Advocacy, she had the oppertunity to collaborate with another Human Rights student to create a human rights curriculum targeted toward newcomers and they taught this curriculum with the Kurdish Initiative for Newcomers during the summer of 2021.
Jacee did her practicum placement at the Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties where she worked as a facilitator and educational resource developer.
