Overview
History
The Map Library was established in the spring of 1972 to meet the needs of the Geography Department, University Community and the general public. The Map Library is a depository for the Canadian National Topographic System (NTS) maps at scales of 1:50,000 and 1:250,000. Our collection also includes atlases, theses, aerial photos, books, gazetteers and other related cartographic materials.
Circulation Policy
Most cartographic material may be signed out for a two week period. Cartographic material must be signed out from, and returned directly to the Map Library during regular hours of service.
Non-Circulating Material:
Globes
Historical Maps
Atlases (except by special permission)
Special Collections such as the East European Genealogical Society, and the Inuit Place Name Series maps.
