The Higgs Boson: Road to the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics
The 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded for the theoretical discover of a mechanism that contributes to out understanding of the origin of mass of subatomic particles. The idea was first formulated 50 years ago and only in 2012 confirmed through the discovery of a fundamental particle: the Higgs Boson. I discuss the significance of this particle and the road followed to its discovery.
