Life at Low Coupling Constant

While nuclear structure is dominated by the strong interaction, life as we experience it, including experimental apparatus, happens at the electromagnetic scale.  I will discuss recent efforts to produce 'designer magnetic fields' for precision measurement of fundamental symmetries with low energy neutrons, as an alternative search for new physics at the high energy frontier.
