"Epileptiform Dynamics: A Neuroengineering Approach"
The objectives of this presentation are:
- To present a scientific approach to the study of epileptic seizure activity in the brain, grounded on physiological and neuroengineering principles.
- To apply signal analysis techniques drawn from complexity theory, fractality and phase synchronization to the study of electrical brain activity.
- To review the latest in neurosurgical techniques for recording epileptic activity from the human brain, in vivo.
- To present future research endeavors to study dynamical activity in the normal and epileptic brain, with new insights on the effect of music on brain dynamics.
