Economics Needs A Scientific Revolution

This talk takes as its foundation two articles by Professor Jean-Philippe Bouchaud where change is called for. Along the way it touches on some similarities between physics and finance in terms of equations (heat and Black-Scholes), measurements (flows, trends), experiments (backtesting) and optimization. 

BIO: Mark is employed as a senior developer with TMX Vettafi. He has worked in various startups as a Research Scientist, Engineering Manager and CTO. He graduated with a PhD in electrical and computer engineering with a focus on exploratory data analysis in bioinformatics.
